Hi Doctor I am Varunika My right Overy measure 3.0 x 3.8 x 2.4 cms vol 14.5 ml left overy measure 3.7 x 2.9 x 2.8 cms vol 16.3 ml both ovaries show Multiple tiny follicles arranged peripherally with thick central echogenic stroma. P.O.D is free and No adnexal mass lesion seen Impression : Bilateral Polycystic Overies Pls explain can i possible to conceiving
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. What ultrasound report you have enclosed indicates that you are having 'Polycystic Ovarian Disease' (PÇOD). Generally, in this disorder, conceiving could be delayed as there is hormonal imbalance leading to irregular menstruation and untimely ovulation. This amounts to infertility in most women. However, it is a treatable disorder and most women conceive with treatment for regularizing periods and by inducing ovulation in time. It may take certain amount of time for this to happen and hence you need to have ample patience. Also, it is essential to reduce your weight and keep it under check by consuming low carbohydrate diet and regular exercise to improve the chances of conceiving.
